Thousands go naked over President's choice of words

29 June 2016, 16:46

Nairobi - Thousands of residents have taken to social media to showcase how they are "working unclad" after their President used a strange choice of words, Naij reports.

Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko exhibited his mishap during an address regarding new technology in the country.

Citizens have had the last laugh, however, posting pictures and videos of themselves naked or scantily dressed while working following their leader's faux pas.

“Innovations, IT-technologies, privatisation – it is all clear. We’ve conquered all of them. But everything is very simply, one should get undressed and work,” President Lukashenko said in his address.

The utterance caused an immediate backlash, with #getnakedandwork trending in a rather comical response.
