Moscow - A prison director in Tajikistan was stabbed to death while getting a haircut from an inmate who had been jailed for a similar murder, authorities in the Central Asian country said on Monday.
The head of the detention centre in the city of Kulob died after being stabbed 17 times by an inmate on Sunday whom he had asked to cut his hair, the report said.
The inmate, a hairdresser, had been given a 17-year sentence for stabbing a client to death last August. The attacker's motive was unclear.
