Kitten almost dies after being 'cleaned' in washing machine

Manchester - A cute kitten has been reduced to eight lives after she was revived after an hour in a spinning washing machine.
The adventurous Poppet hid in the laundry while her British owner Laura Gilholme had her back turned.
“I was halfway through putting in a load and she must have jumped into the machine,” Gilholme said. "I only realised what had happened when the wash finished and I’d opened the door.
To the horror of Gilholme, Poppet seemed to have departed from her first life after the turbulent ride.
"I only realised what had happened when the wash finished and I’d opened the door.
“We rushed her to the vets. There was no response from her, we really thought she’d died.”
Luckily this time curiosity did not permanently kill the cat as vet John Gunn revived her and nursed her back to health.
Back home in Manchester with Gilholme and her daughter Megan (6), Poppet went straight back for another ride.
“She’s back to being her usual mischievous self,” Gilholme said.
