Goat is stolen so that teenage boy can use it as a pun

13 March 2015, 08:12

Lagos – A teenage boy and his friends went to extreme lengths in order to create an original prom proposal for the girl he fancied – by stealing a goat, Huffington Post reports.

Jacob Michels, 17, and two of his friends from Georgia, USA, were caught when a neighbour of the goat owner saw male teenagers loading something into a truck and drive away, and the neighbour called the police. The police caught up with them and found the goat, Chip, inside the truck.

Michels told the police that he was going to take a photo of the goat as part of his invite to ask a girl if she would ‘goat’ to prom with him, but this would not explain why they snatched the goat instead of just taking a photo of it.

Three of the teens who were 17-years-old, were charged as adults with lifestock theft, another boy who is 16, was charged as a minor.
