Afghan capital rocked by blast near Turkey embassy

Kabul - Afghan officials and police say a
suicide bomber driving a car packed with explosives has targeted a vehicle of
the Turkish embassy in the Afghan capital during the morning rush hour.
Deputy Interior Minister Mohammad Ayub
Salangi says a Turkish embassy vehicle was damaged and casualties were

The Turkish and Iranian embassies are
adjacent in the centre of Kabul. The blast took place outside the gate of
Associated Press television footage showed
two black armoured vehicles bearing Turkish diplomatic plates.
It is the first known attack on a Turkish
target in the Afghan capital.
The last similar attack in Kabul took place
near the airport in January.
