Tusker set to make Matano decision

Nairobi - Tusker FC are set to make a decision on the future of head coach Robert Matano.
The 2011 and 2012 Kenyan Premier League champions have had a torrid season in 2013, finishing way off the mark set by winners Gor Mahia and just scraping into the KPL Top 8 for 2014.
With substantial investment made to the technical bench and playing unit under Matano, the club hierarchy is understood to be unimpressed with the performances this season and will meet to decide on whether to maintain or part ways with Matano.
According to a source close to the club's board, the decision on whether or not to retain Matano will be reached in the coming days even though he admits that it is unlikely he will be given another chance to lead the club.
When reached for comment, Tusker chair Joseph Musyoki did not want to comment on the matter but agreed that there is a season review underway.
" We have a review of the season at the end of every year and this will be no different. It has been a disappointing season and some tough decisions will have to be made, he said.
Matano joined Tusker in mid-2012, leading them to the KPL title in that season.
