WRAP: Gor close in on Kenyan Premier League summit

Nairobi - Gor Mahia cut Tusker FC's KPL lead to just three points after seeing off the Nairobi City Stars.
The champions beat City Stars 2-2 to move to 34 points, just three behind leaders Tusker FC who were held to a surprise 1-1 draw by bottom side Sofapaka.
Ulinzi Stars moved above Mathare United to third place thanks to a John Makwatta hatrick to secure a 3-2 success over Ushuru.
Mathare are on 31, the same as Ulinzi but have an inferior goal average thanks to a shock 2-0 loss to struggling Thika United.
AFC Leopards ended a lean run with a 1-0 win over SoNy Sugar to move to 24 points, 13 off the lead.
Kakamega Homeboyz beat Chemelil Sugar 1-0, with Bandari winning 2-1 against Muhoroni Youth.
In the final match of the weekend, Western Stima and Posta Rangers drew 0-0.
Sofapaka remain bottom of the KPL with 9 points from 19 played and look set for relegation with 11 games left to play, while Nairobi City Stars take up the second relegation spot with 13 points.
Thika's win sees them create a six point gap between themselves and the relegation places.
