Ushuru confirm three new signings

15 June 2016, 12:42

Nairobi - Kenya Premier League side Ushuru have acquired the services of Barnabas Tiema, John Kiplagat and Laminne Diallo ahead of the second half of the season.

Goalkeeper Tiema has joined from Sofapaka, while attacking duo Kiplagat and Diallo arrived from Western Stima and AFC Leopards respectively, with the trio all signing two-year deals.

Ushuru head coach Ken Kenyatta confirmed the signings as additions to the six players who are already signed by the Nairobi club during the mid-season transfer window.

"Tiema comes in to beef up the goalkeeping department and I look to benefit from his experience in the premier league as well as competition," Kenyatta told SuperSport.

"Kiplagat is a good offensive player who requires just a little sharpening while Diallo will also be vital for our attack given his experience."

Ushuru are currently 13th in the league standings with just 17 points from 15 games after a slow start to the campaign, which saw them lose six of their 10 opening games.
