Nairobi - Ulinzi Stars welcomes back Stephen Waruru from military duty, ahead of
the second round of the 2016 Kenya Premier League campaign.
Waruru finished as the club's top scorer twice in 2011 and 2013,
before he was redeployed to military duties in Sudan, two seasons ago.
"He has returned to the team and will start training on Monday," Stars CEO Joel Birgen told Capital Sport.
"He will have to fight for a place in the team and prove to the coach
that he warrants a place. He will be a great addition to the team."
The club is also expected to promoted Ibrahim Shambi and Vincent
Otieno, who impressed in the KPL under-20 championship, in a bid to
strengthen up their squad.
"We are waiting report from the technical bench to know how we will
structure the team in the second leg, but I don’t think we are going to
sign hugely. We have quite a good group with us," Birgen added.
