11 July 2016, 12:39 Dennis Masinde

Nairobi - Tusker FC have increased their lead atop the Kenyan Premier League to five points.

The brewers beat Ulinzi Stars 2-1 in Nakuru to stretch their lead to five points after both Mathare United and Gor Mahia failed to win in week 17 of league action.

Gor were held to a 1-1 draw by Kakamega Homeboyz while Mathare lost to Western Stima 1-0.

AFC Leopards were the biggest winners of the weekend with a four goal routing of Thika United. Leopards were boosted by Paul Kiongera who had a stormer versus the hapless Thika.

In other matches, Muhoroni Youth were held to a 2-2 draw by SoNy Sugar, while Chemelil Sugar beat bottom placed Sofapaka 2-1.

Bandari were held to a 1-1 draw in Mombasa by Ushuru while Posta Rangers and Nairobi City Stars drew 1-1.
