SoNy Sugar ready for Leopards

22 July 2016, 15:22

Nairobi - Sony Sugar chairman Paul Orato has warned opponents AFC Leopards that they should be up for a tough fight on Saturday.

The Awendo outfit are looking for their first Kenyan Premier League title since 2006 and are currently ninth in the standings with 23 points just past the midway stage of the season.

They take on a Leopards side who are in 12th position, a further two points adrift, and Orato says his club are ready to spring a surprise.

"We have heard them claim they must pick points from us; they will be surprised. Sony Sugar is going to give them a real battle and a run for their money," he told Soka.

"They should not set their minds that three points will be there for them to come and pick; it will be tough.

"Last time they gained a point from an offside position and we hope they are not planning for the same. We are going for a win and we want a good game devoid of such controversies."
