Nairobi - Sofapaka FC coach David Ouma reserved praise for goalkeeper Mathias
Kigonya after his superb performance kept out Gor Mahia on Sunday.
Kigonya made a number of spectacular saves to earn his team a point
in the goalless draw against the defending Kenyan Premier League (KPL)
Ouma also praised the all-round team effort from his bottom-of-the-table side, who have collected 16 points from 25 games.
"He (Kigonya) was fantastic and kept us in the game. However I
believe it was a result of team work that enabled us to get this
result," Ouma told Soka.
"We still have matches coming and the result today is an exact
manifestation of our abilities and ours is now to face each coming game
as a final.
"They have good midfield players who can cause harm to opposition
more any angle. We knew we had to stop them from playing in the middle
because that's where their strength lies and I have to commend my boys
for playing to instruction."
Sofapaka will need to improve if they are to avoid relegation with five games remaining in the season.
