Simba interested in Ramadhan

16 August 2016, 14:58

Nairobi - AFC Leopards defender Yakubu Ramadhan could be on the verge of a move to Tanzania after giants Simba SC expressed their interest in the South Sudanese player.

Simba are in the midst of their pre-season preparations and looking to bolster their squad ahead of the new Vodacom Premier League.

Ramadhan has been in impressive form for the team since joining the 13 time Kenyan Premier League champions from Ugandan side SC Victoria University.

Leopards team manager Joseph Milimo has confirmed that their Tanzanian counterparts have expressed interest in the player.

"They had expressed a verbal interest for him (Yakubu Ramadhan) during our trip to Tanzania last week but they haven't done that in writing so it's something that doesn't worry us," Milimo told Soka.

"He is still our player and we can only look at the offer when Simba comes up with an official request."

The defender will however hope he will be in shape for his club when they come against Nairobi City Stars in their next league assignment.
