Pinto takes charge at City Stars

11 July 2016, 18:00

Nairobi - Nairobi City Stars have appointed Ugandan Richard Tamale Pinto as manager on a short-term six month deal to replace John Ogola for the remainder of the season.

Ogola left the club to take up a position with Muhoroni Youth, leaving the manager's seat vacant with 13 games of the Kenya Premier League left to play.

Stars assistant coach Dennis Okoth will be retained to help Pinto adjust to his new role, while club owner Peter Jabuya believes he will boost the team out of the relegation zone.

"I'm pleased to make this announcement. We are ushering into the team a dynamic person, who is well versed to working with youngsters. I believe he will be useful to us during his time here," Jabuya told Soka.
