Ouma confident Sofapaka will avoid the drop

Nairobi - Sofapaka coach David Ouma remains confident his team will avoid
relegation, despite losing seven of their eight matches this season.
The club saw a mass exodus of players in the January transfer window,
and are now suffering from a poor run of form which sees them propping
up the foot of the Premier League table.
But Ouma remains adamant that Batato Ba Mungu will turn their situation around, even believing they can crack the top eight.
"We will not face the axe, as a matter of fact we will finish the
league in the top eight position," he was quoted as saying by the Soka25east website.
"We are working on getting at least 12 points at the end of the first leg, which I believe is achievable."
Ouma does, however, concede there is room for improvement.
"The players are good technically, tactically and in terms of fitness
however, the mental strength and attitude during the progress of the
game is lacking," he explained.
"We have been creating a lot of chances, more than our opponents, but by the last whistle there is nothing to show for it.
"We will be going for at least four strikers during the transfer
window. We need two number 9s and two number 10s. This will help us
improve our fortunes in the second leg of the season," he added.
