Origi unconcerned about lack of starts

07 October 2016, 18:00

Cape Town - Liverpool striker Divock Origi has made it clear that he is not fretting over that he has not been included in the starting line-up on a regular basis this season.

Origi has only featured in five Premier League games this season, all of which he has come on as a substitute. However, he did start in two EFL Cup games against Burton Albion and Derby County and found the back of the net in both matches.

Even though Origi has yet to score in the Premier League this season, Liverpool have gotten their campaign off to a strong start as they sit in fourth place on the standings with five wins from seven games thus far.

But, Origi admitted that he would like to see more playing time, especially as he had a fabulous run of form towards the end of last season, where he scored five goals in the last six games.

"I want to play and be the decisive player that I was last season." Origi told Belgian news site HLN. "A manager never changes his winning team. It does not matter to me. Klopp believes in me and says I have to be patient."

Liverpool’s Premier League journey will get underway once again on October 17 when they host Manchester United at Anfield.
