Omino laments red card

26 July 2016, 19:33

Nairobi - Western Stima head coach Henry Omino is confident his team could have secured a victory over Posta Rangers if they hadn't had a player sent off.

Stima were held to a goalless draw by Posta Rangers in the Kenyan Premier League on Saturday with the red card given to Joash Onyango in the 50th minute derailing their tactics in the second half.

"Football is a game of numbers and playing with one man down is always a huge problem," Omino told Soka.

"Joash Onyango's red card interfered with our strategy because we needed to change everything. As the game went on we had to adjust ourselves and be more defensive.

"Playing one man less is always difficult. I am however convinced that if we hadn't suffered that sending off, we would have killed that game."
