Nkata wants Tusker to finish the job

21 September 2016, 12:47

Nairobi - Tusker FC coach Paul Nkata insists that his team will finish the job and clinch the title with six games remaining in the Kenyan Premier League (KPL).

After 24 games in the league, Tusker are leading the title race with 45 points from 12 wins, nine draws and three losses.

Tusker though, have defending champions Gor Mahia breathing down their necks in second place with 43 points.

"Some people are looking at us losing points in the remaining games, while forgetting that there is also the possibility that we can maintain the lead for the rest of the season," Nkata told Soka.

"Our fate is in our hands. We are still at the top of the table and that is where we are at this point.

"Leading by two points does not put any pressure on us and it doesn't mean that we are losing steam. Even if we win the league with a single point we shall be deserving of the title."

Tusker will next take on Muhoroni Youth in the league at the Afraha Stadium on Friday.
