Nasri: PSG will struggle in the EPL

06 April 2016, 19:55

Cape Town - Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri believes reigning French champions Paris Saint-Germain would not find the going so easy in the Premier League.

Laurent Blanc's side, who face the Citizens on Wednesday in a Champions League quarter-final, first-leg tie, recently wrapped up Ligue 1 to claim their fourth successive title.

PSG managed the feat with eight matches to spare and they currently hold a 25-point lead over Monaco in second place and have lost just twice in the league all season.

However, Nasri claims Les Parisiens would struggle to emulate that dominance in England, suggesting they could not beat Stoke on a week night at the Britannia Stadium.

"It's true they have a big team, but I do not think they are above the others in England," the Frenchman told L'Equipe.

"There are no easy games in England, not one. I'd like to see Paris play a Monday night at Stoke, West Ham or at the Emirates against Arsenal.

"Today, the big four is no more. There are six or seven teams who can be champions. It's harder. But this is Paris, not Barca."
