Mururi hails Homeboyz players after Gor draw

Nairobi - Kakamega Homeboyz coach Mike Mururi praised his players for executing
his tactics to perfection in the 1-1 draw against Gor Mahia on Sunday.
Kakamega-based outfit came from behind to snatch a point from the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) giants in Kisumu.
Gor Mahia opened the scoring through Meddie Kagere in the 12th minute
while Ali Bhai equalized for the visitors in the 82nd minute.
"My players did well against Gor Mahia and I think my tactics worked
well. I intentionally benched a few players who were to add pace in the
second half," Mururi told Soka.
"When I brought them in they just did that and we got the goal after pressurizing their defense.
"Generally Gor played well but I knew they would tire out and we
would get them in the second half. We are taking every game at a time
and other than survive; we also want to finish in the top ten when the
season comes to a close."
Homeboyz are now in ninth place with 22 points while Gor Mahia are second in the table with 30 points.
