Nairobi - Muhoroni Youth chairman Moses Adagala has confirmed James Omondi will
take over the coaching reins from Paul Nkata, who is poised to join
Tusker at the start of December.
Nkata has already agreed a deal with the Nairobi-based outfit and will officially take up his new role on Tuesday, 1 December.
As such, Muhoroni have elected to promote a suitable candidate from
within their own backroom structure, with Omondi picked as the man to
lead the club following the departure of Nkata.
"Omondi is a great coach and has all the qualifications and pedigree required," Adagala told SuperSport.
"He has been with the team since Francis Baraza's time and he worked
well with him. Then when Nkata came on board he also worked well with
him so I am very much convinced that he will do well.
"He has a good understanding with players and I am sure they will respect him, and from my side I say we will support him.
"As for Nkata, as he leaves, I just want to thank him for the good
job he has done with the team in the second leg and wish him the best."
