Matano handed Ulinzi extension

Nairobi - Ulinzi Stars have offered coach Robert Matano a one-year contract
extension after guiding the team to a second-placed finish last season.
Matano, who arrived at the Afraha Stadium in April 2014, was grateful for the opportunity given to him by club management.
The coach had also attracted interest from Tusker after the exit of Francis Kimanzi at the end of the 2015 campaign.
"He has done a very good job for us since he joined in 2014 and it
was only prudent that we reward him with a new contract," Ulinzi
official Joel Birgen told Soka.
"He is a good coach who has fostered a very good working team and we would want him to continue with the job.
"This season we are targeting silverware definitely and we have made
that known to him and the team so we expect them to perform.
"We agreed on the terms that I had requested and I am happy. It is a
continuation of the work we had started in 2014 and hopefully, we make
it better this season.
"We have our work cut out, we have targets and we will work to achieve them."
