Nairobi - Ulinzi Stars attacker John Mark Makwatta has made becoming the top goal scorer in the Kenyan Premier League his number one objective.
Makwatta missed out of the golden boot last season after finishing third overall on the scoring charts with 14 goals behind Jesse Were of Tusker FC and Michael Olunga from Gor Mahia.
The midfielder aims to prove his scoring credentials and in so doing also secure a regular place in the Kenya national team.
"I want to be the top scorer top with more than 20 goals. I came quite close last year and I am more confident of myself this season and also want to help my team win trophies this season," Makwatta told SuperSport.
"Last year I got a national team call up and I hope that my performance will earn me another call. I am ready for the honour."
