Kimani: Goal was no fluke

Nairobi - Bandari FC midfielder Anthony Kimani insists his winning strike that secured the DSTV Super Cup against Gor Mahia was no fluke.
Kimani scored a fortuitous 67th minute goal from a difficult angle to
power Bandari to the cup title at the Mbaraki Sports Club on Saturday.
Although there has been much debate about the degree of luck involved
in the goal, Kimani is adamant that his intension was always to score.
The former Sofapaka playmaker hopes that result against the league champions was a sign of things to come.
"The goal was not a fluke; we train for such things when we work on
scoring and in fact during the week I scored a similar goal. I knew what
I was doing," Kimani told Soka.
"It was a tough match and I think it was a morale boosting win and a
good way to start the year. Beating the champions is good and we hope
for more of such in the coming season."
