Kane calls on United to salvage Tottenham's fading challenge

London -Harry Kane called on Manchester United to rescue Tottenham's fading Premier League challenge after his side's 1-1 draw against West Bromwich Albion left Leicester on the brink of winning the title.
Tottenham had hoped to move back within five points of leaders Leicester with a victory at White Hart Lane on Monday and they were on course after Craig Dawson's first half own goal.
But Mauricio Pochettino's side lost their rhythm in the second half and were punished when Albion defender Dawson made amends for his earlier mistake by heading a 73rd minute equaliser.
The north Londoners are now seven points adrift of Leicester with three games remaining, meaning Claudio Ranieri's team will clinch the most unexpected title triumph in English football history if they win at Manchester United on Sunday.
Kane insists Tottenham, who travel to Chelsea next Monday, won't throw in the towel, but they need help to remain in the title race and the England striker pleaded with United to give them hope.
"We have Chelsea next. Hopefully Man United can do us a favour," Kane told Sky Sports.
"It has not gone. We need to keep fighting. We felt we needed to win this game so we are disappointed.
"We had enough chances in the first half to put it to bed. But we weren't good enough in the second half.
"We felt we could easily have won the game if we played in the second half like we did the first. It is football. All we can do is keep fighting."
