Kagere leaves Gor Mahia, Keli joins

Nairobi - Gor Mahia have made the twin announcement that Meddie Kagere has left the club and that he has been replaced by Jacob Keli.
Rwandese Kagere, who scored 13 league goals for Gor last season failed to agree to terms with the club and decided to leave, while Gor acted quickly and snapped up Keli as a direct replacement.
It is understood that Kagere wanted an improvement on his apparent KES 225,000 monthly salary which Gor could not afford as they have no sponsor.
He thus decided not to extend his one year stay at the Kenyan Premier League champions.

Keli on the other hand joins after returning from a year long stint in Zambia where he played for Nkana.
He has signed a 2 year deal.
" The club needed to tie down a deal for Keli as it was not apparent if Michael Olunga and Meddie Kagere would return to the club," a statement on the Gor website said Saturday.
Keli has previously played for KCB and AFC Leopards.
