Juma ecstatic with Harambee Stars call-up

09 August 2016, 16:19

Nairobi - Sony Sugar striker Masoud Juma expressed excitement after receiving his first call-up for the Harambee Stars for the AFCON qualifier against Zambia next month.

Juma could make his debut for the Kenya national team against Zambia in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers next month.

Since joining Sony Sugar in the June transfer window, the striker has moved up to become the first-choice leader of the attack.

Last weekend, Juma scored his first goal for the team against Western Stima in the 3-0 victory.

"I am enjoying my time at the team and the fact that I am getting a lot of play time; I am also happy to get my first goal for the team and maybe the fine performance was spurred by the call up," Juma told Soka.

"I am glad at everything and I hope I can extend with the fine form. The coaches and my team mates have been great and I want to continue scoring to lift the team and as a way of repaying the faith shown in me."
