Harambee Stars ready for tactical battle

02 September 2016, 15:00

Nairobi - Harambee Stars coach Stanley Okumbi is relishing his tactical duel with Zambian counterpart George Lwandamina in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Sunday.

Kenya and Chipolopolo will be in a fight for pride in Group E after both failed to qualify for the 2017 Afcon finals in Gabon.

Okumbi will be looking for a positive result from his charges after a poor run in the qualifiers with one win, one draw and three losses.

"Against Uganda we deserved to win because we created many chances. I have watched Zambia play and I believe it is going to be a tactical battle," Okumbi told Soka.

"We are prepared for it and we are ready to represent Kenyans very well. Zambia is a good side and we are improving so we are taking this match very seriously.

"We have put the first leg behind us and our focus is on the Sunday game. I believe we are going to give our best."
