Nairobi - Gor Mahia coach Jose Marcelo Ferreira has bemoaned the level of officiating since the resumption of the Kenyan Premier League.
Since the start of the second round, the Kenyan giants have recorded one win and two draws.
Ferreira was irked after the goalless draw against Ushuru FC at the Nyayo National Stadium on Sunday.
"The last three games of the second leg we have had to play against
referees. Every time our player tackles an opponent, a foul is given but
the same doesn't happen when we are fouled," Ferreira told Soka.
"Play was stopped for several times when Ushuru players went down but
same didn't occur on our side. It happens in football, yes but not all
the time a player goes down for several minutes with that time not being
"It's not good for us because at the end of the day we picked a point
which we didn't deserve. We had opportunities to score and get three
points but we have not lost focus, we go back to train hard in the week
preparing for the next match.
"We still have 12 games to play. Nothing is impossible even if the
leaders are five points clear. When I came, we were points away from the
leaders but we managed to close the gap. Slowly by slowly we shall
reach the top."
