Baraza boosted by Chemelil returnees

13 July 2016, 14:35

Nairobi - Chemelil Sugar head coach Francis Baraza says the return from injury of some key players is behind his side's strong recent run of form.

The Millers managed just one home win in the first half of the season, but things have taken a turn for the better with two consecutive victories over AFC Leopards and Sofapaka, which has sent them up to eighth spot.

"We have had a big boost with the return of the players who were out injured and the mid-season break also came at the right time," Baraza told SuperSport.

"At the moment we have a group of players starved of action and they are eager to impress. They are so energetic that there is good competition with the others for starting places and that competition is paying off just fine for us."

Chemelil are next in action on Sunday, when they take on 10-time Kenyan champions Tusker away at the Machakos Stadium.
