Bafana up 2 places in latest FIFA rankings

Cape Town - Bafana Bafana have moved up two places in the latest FIFA world rankings, while remaining 13th in Africa.

Meanwhile, Uruguay broke into the top 10 and are placed ninth behind Wales, with Brazil breaking into the top five following their Rio Olympic triumph.

Shakes Mashaba's charges could not better their CAF position and remain 13th with Cote d'Ivoire replacing Algeria at the summit.

South Africa last played against Mauritania and Egypt earlier this month.

Bafana ended their poor AFCON qualifying campaign against Mauritania with a 1-1 draw, but made up against The Pharaohs, edging the African giants 1-0.
