Babu voted KPL coach of the month

07 June 2016, 20:34

Nairobi - Sony Sugar head coach Salim Babu has been named the best coach in the Kenya Premier League for the month of May.

Babu led the Sugar Millers to a four-match unbeaten run last month, winning three and drawing one to steer the team out of the relegation zone.

He beat fellow candidates Jose Marcelo Ferreira of Gor Mahia and Tusker's Paul Nkata with ease to pick up the award.

Babu thanked the players and management for their support as he hopes to continue to do well with the team and win more accolades.

"I am so delighted to win this award. It means a lot to me," Babu told Capital FM.

"I thank the management for the support and team at large. I believe this is not the first time you will be coming here for the awards."
