AFC Leopards' Miheso moves to South Africa

06 July 2016, 13:04

Nairobi - Golden Arrows have completed the signing of Kenya international Clifton Miheso from AFC Leopards and expect to bring in several other new faces in the current transfer window.

Arrows coach Clinton Larsen has already started planning for the season ahead, bringing in Lerato Lamola and Vuyani Ntanga from Bloemfontein Celtic, while Limbikani Mzava and Lehlohonolo Nonyane have been signed from Mpumalanga Black Aces.

Miheso is the latest addition to Larsen's roster, but the coach also expects to finalise the capture of Zimbabwe midfielder Danny Phiri later this week.

"We are in negotiations with more [players] and I expect up to 10 new players ahead of the season‚" Larsen told Times Media Digital.

"They are all good additions with good experience and I know many of them from having worked with them previously."

Commenting on his team's pre-season programme, he added: "We want to give them as long as possible to work together.

"We obviously gave all of our players programmes to work on during the break and most of them followed those and have come back in good shape.

"This is now our second week of pre-season and I am very happy with where we are."

Miheso started his senior career at Thika United in 2011 and stayed with the club for two seasons before sealing a switch to Sofapaka.

And after three seasons with Sofapaka, the Kenyan signed for Finnish side Vaasan Palloseura in March 2016. However, his stay in Europe was short-lived as the winger returned to Kenya in January 2016 to sign for AFC Leopards.
