Wits make Olunga offer

22 July 2015, 14:12

Nairobi - Bidvest Wits have looked to move on from their failed bid to sign Allan Wanga after tabling an offer for Gor Mahia striker Michael Olunga.

The Students saw their attempts to sign Wanga fall through due to complications with his work visa, but have kept their interest in the Kenyan Premier League following news they are keen on signing Olunga.

"We got an email from Bidvest offering to pay Olunga a KES 1 million per month salary for an initial period of one year. We are looking at the offer but no decision has been made yet," one of Olunga's representatives told Goal.

The offer looks to have come at an opportune time for Olunga, who has already rejected the chance to move to Tanzanian giants Simba SC and Yanga FC.

"We are very categorical that he will not play in Tanzania. His standards are higher than what we see in that league and our best bet is Europe," the forward's agent added.
