Nairobi - New Harambee Stars coach Bobby Williamson has left out several top players in his 28-man squad for the international friendly against former African champions Egypt in Cairo on Saturday.
It will be the first game in charge for the 52-year-old Scotsman who signed a two-year contract to replace Adel Amrouche who was fired after Kenya's failure to reach the group stages of the 2015 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Williamson has notably left out former Gor Mahia striker Edwin Lavatsa from his first squad.
The team is also without their European-based professionals, but Williamson has selected Sudan-based pair Allan Wanga and Anthony Okumu and striker David Gateri of South African second division outfit Salt River Blackpool.
Williamson will be assisted by former Kenya international, Musa Otieno as his deputy.
