When Eagles landed

Nairobi - Super Eagles beat Harambee Stars 1-0 in the world cup qualifier held on Wednesday at the Moi International Sports Center Kasarani in Nairobi.
This was the 12th time The Eagles dimmed out The Stars’ hopes of featuring in a world cup.
Musa Ahmed’s kick at the 80th minute propelled The Eagles up beyond the Stars thus proving Kenyans wrong regarding previous assumptions that ‘Eagles have NEVER reached where Stars are. Even eagles look up to the stars' as posted under the #SomeoneTellNigeria Twitter hashtag.
The game saw Celtic's midfielder Victor Wanyama who was the captain for the Nigeria -Kenya match injured before the first half was over.
Harambee Stars have not only lost the game, but also millions of money pledged by prominent personalities including President Uhuru Kenyatta and Mike Mbuvi Sonko, the Nairobi Senator, who also bought over a thousand tickets to boost the Kenya fan base at the stadium.
Kenyans losing at home was the greatest disappointment of the year especially
because it comes barely a week after the players' allowances were raised
from 35 to 118 U.S.dollars per game.
