Weche expects Keli to shine at AFC Leopards

24 December 2013, 18:00

Nairobi - AFC Leopards assistant coach and club great Mickey Weche expects Jacob Keli to shine at the club next season.

Keli, the current Kenyan Premier League player of the year and 2013 top scorer has joined Leopards on a two year deal where he will be expected to help the club win major honours.

A KPL title challenge as well as the CAF Confederations Cup awaits Leopards and Weche says that they will approach next season confident of doing well.

" I am confident that we will do well next season, he said.

" With players like Jacob Keli, James Situma and Wycliffe Kasaya joining the club, there is reason to believe in good results for next term.

" Keli especially will be important because last season we did not have a striker who was consistent throughout the year.

" He did so at KCB and we expect that with better players here, he should do the same, he added.

Keli scored 17 league goals in the 2013 KPL season.
