Wanyama confident Stars will get result in Comoros

27 May 2014, 12:15

Nairobi - Harambee Stars captain Victor Wanyama is confident that the Stars will prevail in their away clash with the Comoros.

The Stars take on their island rivals Friday in the return leg of their first round AFCON qualifying contest, a tie which they lead 1-0 going into the return leg.

Wanyama admits that they would have loved to take a bigger lead to the second leg but is confident they will prevail nonetheless.

" I think that we are in a good position and that we should and will go through to the next round, he said.

" The team has been preparing well and we are all ready to go out there and perform to the best of our capabilities, he added.

" Our aim is to make it to the AFCON and hopefully that will come to pass.

The Stars leave for the Comoros Wednesday.
