Nairobi - Allan Wanga has returned to training at AFC Leopards.
The Harambee Stars striker has returned to light training after picking up a knee injury during the Mapinduzi tourney in Zanzibar two weeks ago.
He was initially scheduled to be out of action for up to a month but according to head coach James Nandwa, his return is a boost to the club.
" Wanga is back training. It is great news for us, he said.
" We needed a break in terms of how to deal with injuries and his return as a key top player will definitely lift morale at the club and options ahead of the new season, he said.
Wanga was the best player for Leopards in the 2013 KPL season and Kenya's MVP in the 2013 CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup.
