Nairobi - Ulinzi Stars are determined to defend the East Africa Military Games title at the 2014 edition of the tournament in Zanzibar next week.
The Soldiers are currently sitting in sixth place in the Kenyan Premier League standings, and look assured of qualification for the Top Eight next year.
Head coach Robert Matano is looking not only to retain the title, but to use the games as an opportunity to strengthen his team's unity for a strong finish in the KPL.
"Staying together as a team away for that period of time will be good for us to build our cohesiveness," Matano told the club's official website.
"Especially looking at our targets back in the local league. Of course the primary target is to defend that title," he added.
