Ulinzi ready for second leg

19 July 2013, 12:41

Nairobi - Ulinzi Stars captain Evans Amwoka says the team has picked up enough experience from the World Military Games and hopes they will be a better side in the second leg of the Kenyan Premier League (KPL).

Iraq clinched the tournament after trouncing Oman 3-2 in a highly contested final. The Kenya representatives, who were eliminated in the group stages, were held to a 2-2 draw by France before losing 3-1 and 2-0 to former champions Algeria and Bahrain respectively.

In their final match against Bahrain, Ulinzi finished the game with nine men after the trio of Amwoka, Salim Mohammed and Hassan Mohammed were all red-carded. Speaking to the club’s official website, the striker said they’ve learnt a lot from the competition.
