Nairobi - Ulinzi Stars are not in any way fazed by the attention given to other clubs in the preparations for the 2014 season.
Head coach Salim believes that the fact that no one is giving them a chance of winning major honours in the coming season is good for his side.
He believes that his squad is as good as any in the Kenyan Premier League but says that the fact that other clubs like AFC Leopards. Gor Mahia, Tusker FC and Sofapaka have so far won all the plaudits is not of concern.
" We are happy to remain under the water and for pundits to write us off, he said.
" I have confidence in the side and I am sure we will do well in the coming season and maybe the fact that no one has given us a chance is good for us.
" We will compete for major honours and I am sure we will be up there. I do not mind the underdog tag, he added.
Ulinzi finished eighth in the 2013 KPL season.
