Ulinzi drop Ochomo, eye Ouma, Keli

19 December 2013, 12:14

Nairobi - Ulinzi Stars have said they will not renew the contract of the misfiring Wycliffe Ochomo.

The former Gor Mahia and Congo United striker has failed to live up to expectations in the two years he has spent at the Nakuru club and with his contract ending, the club has decided against an extension.

Ochomo scored a handful of goals for the Stars but head coach Salim Ali was not impressed with his display and has decided against a renewal.

" Ochomo will not be a part of the squad in 2013. The club has decided against renewing his contract, Ali said.

" We will look at other options because we struggled last season in scoring goals and need a good goal scorer.

" We wish him the best of luck in future, he added.

Ulinzi are looking at a number of forwards, including Francis Ouma of Mathare United and Jacob Keli of KCB.
