Tusker host Gor for first ever time in Meru

23 May 2014, 12:15

Nairobi - Tusker FC will host Gor Mahia in the KPL Top 8 semi-finals in Meru, the first time the two sides will clash in the Mt Kenya region.

The two sides will meet at the Kinoru Stadium, Tusker's new home in the first leg of the Top 8 semi-finals, Sunday.

Both sides are in good form and the clash will be hotly contested by the two sides in a match-up between the best sides in the current Kenyan Premier League season.

" It is a big game that we are all looking forward to. It is the kind of match we want to see in this region, Michael Mwai, a Meru resident says.

Gor head coach Bobby Williamson is hoping for a good game as is his Tusker counterpart Francis Kimanzi.

" I hope it turns out well for the people of Meru, Kimanzi said, while Williamson was hopeful of a good result.

" We need a good first leg result, so we are preparing well for it, he said.

2,000 VIP tickets and 8,000 terraces tickets will go on sale at KES 600 and KES 200 respectively. Tickets will be sold from Makutano Junction, Tuskys and at the DO’s Office Compound from deployed vans. Two armed Police Officers will be deployed at each selling station.
