Tusker book final spot

Nairobi - Kenyan Premier League side Tusker FC are through to the finals of the Mapinduzi Cup after handing Zanzibari side Miembeni FC a 2-0 beating in their semi-final match played on Thursday at the Amaan Stadium in Zanzibar.
The two teams had settled for a barren draw going into the half-time break but coming into the second half, the Kenyan champions heightened the pace of the game, with Luke Ochieng setting them on the path to a win with a 52nd minute strike.
Jesse Were, one of the tournament’s top-scorers, then went ahead to add a second goal in the 72nd minute – his fourth goal of the event.
