Nairobi - Tusker FC are preparing to move to Meru town which could host their home matches starting the 2014 season.
The 2011 and 2012 Kenyan Premier League champions are considering moving their home matches to the Mount Kenya region to spread the wings of the game in the country.
They have inspected the Kinoru Stadium where they have instructed the county government to make changes that will be geared towards them moving their 15 home games to the hilly town.
" We are considering moving to Meru town for the 2014 season and thereafter, club chair James Musyoki said.
" They have a good stadium out there and the fans are calling for a Premier League club so we have been in talks with the government on what changes should be made to the facility to have us move there.
" They are very interested and we are hopeful that we can have things in place by the time the season kicks off, he added.
Tusker have been using the Moi Sports Center Kasarani for their home matches in the last few years, though the City and Nyayo Stadiums too have played host to them.
