Nairobi - The Kenya Premier League begins this weekend
with dislodged log leaders and defending champions, Gor Mahia, seeking to
reclaim top spot against unpredictable Western Stima.
Gor are neck and neck with Tusker at the summit with 31
points but the latter are on pole position due to a superior goal difference.
Elsewhere on Friday, fourth-placed Chemelil Sugar will
host City Stars in another match with a thrilling potential.
Log leaders Tusker will travel for a crucial assignment
against Sony Sugar on Saturday, in another do-or-die encounter.
A draw or defeat for Tusker would see Gor Mahia reclaim
top spot provided they beat Western Stima on Saturday.
The matches for both Friday and Saturday have potential
to shape up what the future of Kenya's Premiership race would go.
