Nairobi - Sofapaka coach Sam Timbe was disappointed that his side was unable to get past Tusker FC in the KPL Top 8 quarterfinals.
Sofapaka led for most of the match but conceded late and went on to lose 5-6 on penalties in the quarterfinals Sunday at the Nyayo National Stadium.
Timbe was disappointed that his players could not hang on to their lead and felt that they could have defended much better as a unit.
" We could have defended better. That is the only regret, he said.
" When it gets to penalties, then there is nothing much that can be done but when we have destiny in our own hands, we can defend better, he added.
Sofapaka will now turn their attention to the KPL.
" It is sad for us but we have to concentrate on the league and hope for the best this season.
