Nairobi - Thika United are on the lookout for an experienced goalkeeper to complement their squad, head coach John Kamau says.
The 'Brookside' boys recently dropped lead goalie Lucas Indeche and are looking to boost their squad with an experienced head to compliment their younger back-up options.
Kamau says that he already has a few names in mind and believes that he gave Indeche a good opportunity to prove himself.
" I do not like to let players go but it has to happen in football and we have to make changes.
" Indeche has been our keeper for a number of years but sadly he has failed to take full charge of the number one position and we have to let him go.
" We have some very young but talented keepers in the squad that will get a chance in future but now we need a stable number one to teach them the way, he added.
Thika also dropped three other players including striker Ezekiel Odera, despite him scoring five league goals.
" Odera is a different case. He did well but we are looking for a person who can score in double figures. He is a good player and I know he will have a bright future.
