Thika complete deals for ex Gor man Odhiambo, six others

Nairobi - Thika United have signed former Gor Mahia midfielder Moses 'Dube' Odhiambo along with completing the signing of six other players.

Thika finally came to amicable agreements with two of their key signings veteran Odhiambo and Ugandan International shot-stopper Hamza Mwonge from Vipers SC.

The latter joins fellow countrymen, left-back Daniel Ojara and midfielder Samuel Mwanje from St Mary Chitende Uganda, who already are in training with the Brookside sponsored outfit.

Thika United has so far signed a total of 7 players- Moses Arita(Fwd),Michael Wanyika (Gk),Moses Odhiambo(Mid),Timothy Luda (Fwd),Hamza Mwonge(Gk),Daniel Ojaro(Lb) and Samuel Mwanje(Mid). Head Coach John Kamau hopes to finalize one more signing before the window closes at the end of January 2014.

“I'm quite happy with the new players who have joined us and am sure the team will gel properly by the time the league kicks off, we might add one or two more to our squad depending on the outcome training results.”

All the new acquisitions are expected to feature today in a training match against visiting Kasarani Combined, the match is expected to kick-off from 9am at the Thika Municipal Stadium.
